The weekend started with our best MINI Challenge Qualifying results of the season, seeing Joe Tanner starting Saturday’s Race 1 in P3 and Cam Richardson in P11.
Following the new-found pace in the car, the pair converted their starting positions to the team’s best results of the season. After a long wait on Sunday morning due to the Oulton Park curfew, our drivers remained towards the upper end of the grid in Race 2!

Over in our BTCC garages, it was once again a weekend of highs and lows for the team. The Race to Pole provided entertainment across the board, with Dan Cammish coming out in the winning position. However, unfortunately Sam Osborne suffered a hairy moment which put him down towards the back of the grid.
Race 1 had Dan Cammish converting his pole to his first race win of the season, and Sam climbing back up the grid to P13. Ash Sutton was involved in some contact which sent him backwards, and Lewis Selby also suffered an unfortunate DNF.
Race 2 was a double podium for the NAPA Racing team, Sutton added another win to his season tally and was joined by Race 1 winner, Dan Cammish. Meanwhile, Selby and Osborne fought their way up the grid to points positions.
However, as the sky overhead threatened rain, Race 3 saw a less ideal ending to the day. The Reverse Grid draw saw Osborne starting from P2, but a series of unfortunate events saw him fall down the order, and Selby suffered an early finish to the race after being involved in an incident. Cammish fought his way up to P4, whereas hard tyre runner Sutton found himself struggling.

We now head into a long summer break, with our BTCC drivers returning on 25-26 July at Thruxton, and our MINI Challenge on 8-9 August at Knockhill. In the meantime, you can keep up to date with everything NAPA Racing UK via our social media channels.
Our Race Against Dementia Helmet Design Competition is coming to an end, and we’ve had some brilliant submissions but there is still time to enter. Find all the template and entry details here
With Knockhill fast approaching, keep your eyes out for information on other ways to join the race and support life-changing research!
