10-Tooth vs. 12-Tooth Pinion Drive – NSM1521

Possible visual discrepancy between NAPA Starter Motor and OE.

NSM1521 has a 12-tooth pinion drive, while the unit on the vehicle may have a 10-tooth pinion drive. This discrepancy is within standard specifications and will not affect vehicle performance. These units are fully interchangeable.
