Discs with ABS Rings: ABS Sensor Issue

24 Aug 2020

Category:

When fitting a new disc with an ABS ring, the ring might touch the ABS sensor as corrosions have built up under the mounting point, causing it to be pushed towards the disc.

To fix this issue, remove the ABS sensor from its mounting point and remove the corrosion before refitting the sensor and the new disc.

Similar issues may arise with ABS sensors that are fitted in guide tubes which can be remedied by removing the ABS sensor and cleaning with a suitable reamer.
