LE MANS WINNER JOINS NAPA RACING UK FOR BRANDS HATCH FINAL
01 Oct 2025
NAPA Racing UK can confirm that Jamie Osborne has medically withdrawn from the season’s conclusion at Brands Hatch this weekend (4th/5th October).
Having initially been withdrawn for Silverstone Rounds 14-16 and following expert medical advice, the team have made the difficult decision to conclude Jamie’s season, finishing with 11 podiums, including 5 wins and having led the championship up until that point.
With the MINI Challenge Team’s Championship still up for grabs, NAPA Racing UK can confirm former Le Mans 24-hour race winner and Porsche Factory driver Nick Tandy will be driving alongside Lewis Selby, taking the wheel of the #77 NAPA Racing UK charger to spearhead the team’s final championship push. Nick will be running the number 128.
Nick is a longtime friend of the team and no stranger to the TOCA paddock, running the JTR Porsche race team. Nick has one of the most accomplished CVs in global motorsport, winning in Formula Ford, Formula Palmer Audi, and F3, before returning to closed wheel racing in the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany, winning the championship in 2011.
In 2025, Nick was crowned “Mr 24-hours” having completed the Grand Slam of all the most iconic 24-hour endurance races: Le Mans 24-hour race, Daytona, Spa-Francorchamps and the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
Nick will make his NAPA Racing UK debut in Friday’s test session (3rd October) before taking to the track for Round 17 the following day.
PETE OSBORNE – NAPA RACING UK TEAM PRINCIPAL:
“Needless to say, as a team and a family, we’re devastated that Jamie has been unable to compete in the final two rounds of the JCW Championship, especially given the success he was enjoying this year with a commanding lead heading into Silverstone. As always, his health and well-being come first, and our priority is for Jamie to focus on his recovery.
After speaking with Jamie, instead of parking the car for the final round, we have decided to bring in another driver to fly the flag for NAPA & Alliance Racing. I think we will all agree that Nick is an outstanding driver and will do a fantastic job for us, but he is also a good friend. He has close ties to both NAPA & Wera Alliance Racing Academy, as well as myself, and he has a rare weekend away from his international duties, so he has stepped in to give us a final race weekend to remember. He will be a valuable asset to the team, his teammates & the JCW Championship.”
