BriSCA F1 dates back to the late 1950s, making it one of the oldest forms of motorsport in the UK. Whilst early cars were developed from road cars, modern day machines are a world away from anything you will see on the road - with cars built around a steel chassis and engines pushing out well over 600bhp.
Running on short ovals or around quarter of a mile in length, a grading system allows fans to identify drivers and championship winners via the colour of the roof or wing.
In a move that guarantees action, the fastest drivers start at the back to come through the field for rookies and those with less experience to get their moment of glory at the front.
Jack France has been part of the NAPA Racing family since 2021, carrying the iconic NAPA colours on the BriSCA F1 car that has carried him to multiple wins and podium finishes.
Starting his career in karting, France was a champion in Lincolnshire’s JNR MAX series and South Yorkshire’s SNR MAX series before making the move up into cars, but having taken a sideways step compared to those looking to launch a traditional circuit racing career.
Instead, France followed in the footsteps of his father Graham by heading onto the shale to compete in Stock Car Racing - initially in BriSCA F2 before moving up into F1.
Going into his fourth season in NAPA colours, France will now hope to be in the mix for championship honours across another busy year of action on multiple surfaces.
