The RH and LH stabilisers for the following applications can be easy to mix up:
• Citroën C3 Picasso 2014-
• Peugeot 207 & 208 2007-
• Vauxhall Crossland X 2017-
During fitment, applying stabilisers to the correct side is essential to prevent premature failure. Here’s a quick guide for identifying their differences.
The LH stabiliser will be marked with an “L”.
The RH stabiliser will be marked with an “R”.
Stabiliser links are typically made from steel, but some are made from aluminium, plastic or hybrid materials. Due to attempts to reduce the weight of parts and increase fuel economy, many manufacturers use lighter materials for their stabilisers. Remember: NAPA stocks steering and suspension parts made of various materials.
