NAPA Racing UK suits up with Alpinestars

19 Mar 2024

NAPA Racing UK’s expansive list of drivers will sport an impressive new look to rival their machinery this season as a result of a new technical partnership with Alpinestars.

The company currently provides race suits to four teams on the F1 grid – McLaren, Alpine, Haas and RB – and will now showcase its technical innovations on the UK racing scene thanks to its partnership with NAPA Racing UK; reigning champions in the prestigious Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship.

NAPA Racing UK’s drivers in the BTCC, Vertu MINI CHALLENGE, British Truck Racing Championship and BriSCA F1 will all wear new bespoke race suits designed to mirror their striking 2024 racing colours throughout the season as the team chases championship glory on multiple fronts, with Ash Sutton in particular chasing a place in history as he bids to become the BTCC’s first five-time champion.

Debbie Summers, NAPA Racing UK Brand Manager, said:

“We are delighted to embark on a new partnership with such a renowned brand as Alpinestars; a company that shares our drive for technical excellence and a desire to be the best in its field.

“The new race suits that have been provided for our drivers not only look great and provide the highest levels of safety every time they hit the track, but also push the limits on the technical side, marketing and brand awareness.

“We look forward to a successful year working together on all fronts.”

Christopher Hillard, Alpinestars Communications Director, said:

“Given NAPA Racing UK’s consistency in fighting for wins, podiums and championships in the British Touring Car Championship, we can see that their commitment to performance and teamwork represent shared values with Alpinestars.

“We look forward to a strong technical partnership with NAPA Racing UK, and to protect their drivers through the various conditions and challenges they will face during the 2024 season and beyond.”

Founded in the early 1960s by craftsman Sante Mazzarolo in the small Italian town of Asolo, Alpinestars has been active in the motorsport industry from the very start having developed boots for use in motocross within two years of being officially formed.

Since then, the company has expanded to provide a full range of protective gear for use in motorcycling, becoming a ‘go to’ option for professional racers and amateur riders alike.

Alpinestars’ knowledge and expertise has also seen it develop a wide range of specialist equipment for use on four wheels, with Fernando Alonso winning his first F1 title in 2005 wearing an Alpinestars race suit.
